Kim Kardashian has for the first reacted to her husband, Kanye West's recent social media meltdown.
In a lengthy post shared via her Instagram stories on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, the reality TV star said the reason she decided to speak about her husband's outburst which is as a result of his bipolar disorder, is the stigma associated with it.
"I have never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I'm very protective of our children and Kanye's right to privacy when it comes to his health,"she wrote.
"But, today I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconception about mental health."
According to her, when it comes to mental health, the person involved has to be willing to want to get help before anything can be done about it.
"People who are unaware of far removed from this experience can be judgemental and not understand that the individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how family and friends try," she added.
She went on to say that even though her husband is in a lot of pressure to be at his best, people should not fail to remember about all his struggles like the painful loss of his mother and dealing with the isolation that comes with his disorder.
Finally, she appealed to the public to show compassion and empathy towards her family as they struggle with Kanye's illness.
Kim's posts are coming on the heels of her husband's Twitter rants which has gotten everyone talking.
From calling out his mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, and even revealing his plans to end his marriage with Kim, the billionaire rapper has indeed caused many to worry about the state of his mental health.
